Entry #4: Spooky Season

 

Hey!! How is everyone?! I hope you all had a good week. Since spooky season wasn't that long ago, I decide that was going to be the topic for my blog.  

Around mid October, I went to Fear Farm with 2 friends. I hadn't gone in about two years and they put up new houses, so I was really excited to go. I'm not necessarily scared of the actors/characters, it's mostly when they jump out from around the corner that gets me. Although I wont lie, I am a little scared of clowns and dolls, but just a little bit. When it comes to the dolls, I'm mostly scared of the antique dolls. I don't know but something about their realistic glass eyes have always creeped me out. What are you scared of?

I don't know about you all, but I'm interested in the paranormal aspect of Halloween (you know, like real hauntings). I know a couple people really hate the idea of a ghost being their home, but I don't mind it. And because of this, I like to watch scary movies like the Conjuring series, The Nun, and Annabelle. Not many people know this, but the movie Annabelle was based on a true story, and the actual doll that the movie is based on is in the Warren Museum located in Monroe, Connecticut. 

The real doll isn't a plastic doll, like in the movie, but an old raggedy ann doll. The museum doesn't only have the Annabelle doll, but hundreds of other haunted/cursed items. The museum is open for people to visit, but you have to respect the items. There have been instances where people have lost their live for disrespecting the items. 

But family and friends think I'm crazy because I want to go to this museum. Not only do I want to go to the Warren Museum, but I want to go to other 'haunted' places, such as the Queen Mary Ship. Although the ship is currently closed for construction, I do wish to go when it reopens to the public again.
